MetriVibe ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the MetriVibe desktop application, web application, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). Please read this policy carefully. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described herein.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you sign in via a third-party provider (GitHub or Google), we receive your profile information as permitted by your OAuth settings.

1.2 Session Metadata (Cloud Sync - Pro/Enterprise)

If you enable Cloud Sync (available on Pro and Enterprise plans), we collect and store metadata about your Claude Code sessions, including: project names, session timestamps, tool usage counts, file paths referenced, prompt text, and assistant responses. This data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

1.3 Usage Analytics

We collect anonymized usage data to improve the Service, including: application feature usage, crash reports, performance metrics, and general interaction patterns. This data does not include any content from your Claude Code sessions.

1.4 Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by our third-party providers (see Section 4). We do not directly store your credit card numbers or bank account details. We retain only transaction identifiers and subscription status.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be clear about the boundaries of our data collection:

  • Source code content: On the Free plan, your code and session data never leave your machine. All analysis is performed locally.
  • File system access beyond session data: MetriVibe only reads files within your ~/.claude directory. It does not scan or access other files on your system.
  • Keystrokes or screen recordings: We do not monitor your keyboard input or capture screenshots.
  • Data sold to third parties: We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Process your subscription and manage your account
  • Sync your session data across devices (Pro/Enterprise only, with your explicit consent)
  • Generate AI-powered reports based on your session metadata (Pro/Enterprise only)
  • Improve the Service through anonymized usage analytics
  • Send transactional emails (account verification, password resets, billing notifications)
  • Respond to your support inquiries
  • Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Stripe

Payment processing for web subscriptions. Stripe collects and processes payment details under their own privacy policy. See stripe.com/privacy.

Apple (In-App Purchases)

Payment processing for subscriptions purchased through the Mac App Store. Apple manages billing under their own privacy policy. See apple.com/legal/privacy.

OAuth Providers (GitHub, Google)

We use GitHub and Google OAuth for sign-in authentication. We receive only your public profile information and email address as authorized by you.

Analytics

We use anonymized analytics to understand usage patterns and improve the Service. Analytics data does not include personally identifiable information or session content.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. Specifically:

  • Account data: Retained until you delete your account.
  • Synced session data: Retained while your Pro/Enterprise subscription is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion or subscription cancellation.
  • Usage analytics: Retained in anonymized form for up to 24 months.
  • Payment records: Retained as required by applicable tax and accounting regulations (typically 7 years).

6. Data Deletion

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data. To do so:

  • Delete your account from the application settings, which will remove all associated personal data and synced sessions within 30 days.

Note: Local session data on your device is not managed by MetriVibe servers. Deleting the app or clearing local data is your responsibility.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and encryption at rest for stored session data. Authentication tokens are stored using platform-native secure storage (macOS Keychain). However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and maintained on servers located outside your country of residence. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers. We take steps to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy regardless of where it is processed.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
